In that case, there’s no better way than by enrolling them in the E.A.T.S. Program. E.A.T.S., or Enriching Academically Talented Students, offers after-school programs and summer sessions that let kids discover talents, supplement their regular schoolwork with extra instruction, and nurture their curiosity about the world. Our licensed and certified staff is made up of professional teachers who know how to cater to talented youth and stroke their passion for life-long learning, inside the classroom and out.
Founded in 2013 Executive Director Mrs. Hammond, President Frank Griffith, board members, and the concerned parents of P.S./ I.S.270Q wanted to create a safe and nurturing after-school environment for students ages 5yrs-13yrs. Kindergarten through 8th grade to receive extended learning after-school care.
We offer a structured after-school environment where the educators know the students and address their needs.
Students can complete homework, receive test preparation and direct help during the semester up to citywide exams, and experience unique personal enrichment activities that help them discover new interests and skills.
Principal Chayvonne Harper, Principal Dr. Lisette Olivo, and Principal Aneesha Jacko, along with their Teaching Staff, pride themselves on providing a valuable resource with the E.A.T.S. program as an extension of their school day for parents in the Laurelton/ Rosedale/ Hollis/ Jamaica area, providing the peace of mind that their inquisitive and talented children are being supervised and pushed to succeed by trained educators and staff.
We recognize the needs of The Gordon Parks School, The Brookfield School, The Nathaniel Woodhull School families, and our community by offering the program in the safety of our own educational and secure school environment.
